From patient care to production code

I'm a Software Engineer at Motion Industries in Birmingham, AL. I build backend services for the Finance and HR side of the business: Java services on Google Cloud that move and transform data reliably between systems.

I came to software after more than ten years in healthcare. That work taught me to stay calm under pressure, care about the details, and remember that every system has real people depending on it. I hold an AAS in Computer Science (Programming), and I'm always building something on the side to keep learning.

Away from the keyboard, I'm usually at a different one: I love playing music, especially guitar and piano.

A Flutter task manager for Android and iOS for planning today and the week ahead. Tasks can be due on a set day or "sometime this week," repeat, and send reminders. Everything is stored on the device. (Formerly TaskApp.)
